Portrait Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Hoechst in the 18th century. Both pieces are hand painted with a medallion in the center including a black and white bust portrait with a nice design around it as well as two black urns and some scattered tiny gold flowers and a bit of gold trim to the edges and handle. The decoration is not something you see often and I like it quite a bit. The set is in great condition with the tiniest of wear. Both pieces are marked underneath with the under glaze blue wheel mark as well as some impressed marks under the cup. The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
